Red Ribbon Week and Mission Carnival
***Third Grade Mission Carnival Booth***
This year the Mission Carnival will be held on Friday, October 27 from 1:00 – 2:30. Our class booth is the Monster Bean Bag Toss Game. Every student will need to bring in a bag of individually wrapped candy or small prizes by Wednesday, Oct. 26.
I will also need some parent volunteers to help run the booth during the Carnival. I have a sign-up sheet posted in the hallway by our classroom door with four volunteer spots, each 20 minute shifts. If you would like to help, but are unable to come sign up, send me an email and I will add you to the sheet.
The afternoon will start with the students changing into their costumes at 12:40 (12:30 if you are coming to help them get ready). All costumes must keep with our Catholic traditions and values, so please, no costumes or accessories that portray violence. No weapons of any kind or blood will be allowed!
At 1:00 a bell will ring signaling the start of the costume parade. Weather permitting, Miss Friedel will lead the students in a parade around the school/church block and then onto the parking lot for fun and games. Students will have the opportunity to purchase tickets Friday morning. Each ticket is worth $0.25 and each game costs 1 ticket. Tickets will also be available for purchase in the office during the Carnival.
Please feel free to invite family and friends to join us for a fun afternoon. All proceeds will be sent to the Missions! Thank you in advance for all of your help!
